I started this book with high hopes and they were answered. Recently I read Jurassic Park and loved it. Soon after I bought this book and currently I am on page 317/430. I am at the part where the "big fancy trailer that's dinosaur proof" is wrecked and pushed over a cliff by some T-Rex. Not the best planning on their part. I've seen the movie and it is in a giant shadow to the book.
Some people might say "I've seen the movie and there's no difference" but those fools are wrong. There are several differences in the book, such as: intead of one kid sneaking onto the island with the party tehre are two one boy and one girl. Seccond instead of the mission being to rescue someone it's a research expedition. So in my opinion the book is better than the movie because it is all there and nothing is cut out.
